After completing his education in Port Elizabeth South Africa, Roy Charsley was admitted as an Advocate of the High Court of South Africa in 1980. Until 1982, he worked initially as State Advocate prosecuting criminal cases at all levels including appearances in the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court of South Africa (South Africa’s highest court at the time).
In 2000, Mr. Charsley moved his family to Denver where he accepted a position in the International Department of Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Inc. and later Financial Planning Standards Board Ltd. He worked with Affiliate organizations in 19 different countries and played a significant role in establishing new Affiliate organizations in Austria, Brazil, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Korea and Taiwan.
In May 2007, Mr. Charsley joined Kumpf, Charsley & Hansen LLC., where he does wills and estate planning, general civil and commercial law, family law, employment litigation, and criminal defenses.

Mr. Hansen graduated from Washburn University School of Law in 1997. Before becoming a partner at Kumpf, Charsley & Hansen, LLC he served as in-house counsel for a large privately owned residential home building and land development company in Colorado.
Mr. Hansen has been active in construction industry groups and at the State legislature in tort reform and business matters. During 2009 he served as the President of the Colorado Association of Home Builders.

Mr. Kumpf graduated with honors from the J. Reuben Clark School of Law at Brigham Young University in 1992. Following graduation, he practiced in San Diego, California with the commercial litigation firm of Walton, Ottesen, Meads & Koler. He later joined San Diego’s oldest law firm, Higgs, Fletcher & Mack, where his practice focused on commercial and business litigation, with an emphasis on employment law. In 1998, he accepted the position of General Counsel with Natural Balance, Inc.
Scott is general counsel to Bowen Law for Colorado cliental.

Mr. Thorpe has practiced in all areas of personal injury and insurance law for 34 years representing plaintiffs, defendants and insurance companies in a wide variety of cases including automobile, premises and product liability, insurance coverage, bad faith, medical and legal malpractice, wrongful death, construction defects and governmental entity liability. He has successfully completed over 50 trials and arbitrations and has earned an “AV” rating from Martindale Hubbell. He began his practice with the firm of Hall and Evans and from 1983 to 1990 he was a partner in the firm of Hoyt, Graveley and Thorpe. He has worked in house for both St. Paul and Allstate insurance companies serving as Senior Trial Attorney from 1990 to 1997 at Allstate. More recently he was affiliated with Seaman, Giometti and Murphy (1998-2004) and Grund, Dagner and Nelson (2005-2007).

Mr. Wells joined Kumpf Charsley & Hansen, LLC in the spring of 2011 after practicing law with John Kokish P.C. focusing on a domestic relations and civil litigation trial practice.
In addition to his law practice, Mr. Wells volunteers his time in community leadership roles. He is a commissioner on the Town of Castle Rock Public Works Commission where he participates with other commissioners in making capital improvement recommendations to the town council. Mr. Wells also serves in a voluntary leadership position with his church and as an assistant coach for his sons’ baseball and basketball teams. During his personal time, he can be found enjoying outdoor activities with his family, reading a book or watching/coaching his boys’ sports teams.
